Check Valves

Swing, dual-plate and wafer check valves designed to prevent backflow in pipelines. Available in cast iron and stainless steel.

Check Valve - Dual Plate Wafer Type

Check Valves

Double Door / Rubber Lined Type | DN50 - DN1200

ZNX check valves (also known as non-return valves or backflow preventers) are designed to allow flow in one direction only, automatically closing when flow reverses. They protect pumps, compressors, and other equipment from damage caused by backflow, water hammer, and system pressure surges.

Our two core series are the double door (dual plate wafer) check valve for compact, fast-closing general service, and the rubber lined check valve for seawater, sewage and abrasive media. Both are 100% tested before shipment.

Product Series

Two dedicated check valve series: compact spring-assisted dual plate, and corrosion-resistant rubber lined design.

Series 1

Double Door Check Valve

DN50 - DN600 | PN10 / PN16 / ANSI 150 | Dual Plate Wafer

The double door (dual plate wafer) check valve uses two spring-loaded half-discs rotating around a central pin. The spring assist closes the plates before flow reversal occurs, minimizing water hammer and slam. Its wafer body installs between pipe flanges like a butterfly valve, weighing about 30% of an equivalent swing check.

Technical Specifications

Size RangeDN50 - DN600 (2" - 24")
Pressure RatingPN10, PN16, PN25, ANSI 150
Body MaterialDuctile Iron GJS400-18, WCB, SS304/316
Plate MaterialSS304, SS316, Ductile Iron (Ni-plated)
Seat MaterialNBR, EPDM, Viton, metal-to-metal
SpringSS316, retraction spring on each plate
ConnectionWafer, lug (ANSI / DIN / BS / JIS flanges)
Working Temp.-10°C to +120°C (up to +300°C metal seat)
StandardAPI 594, EN 12334, MSS SP-71, AWWA C508
InstallationHorizontal or vertical (upward flow)

Key Features

  • Spring-assisted closure — anti-water-hammer, no slam
  • Ultra-compact wafer body, ~70% lighter than swing check
  • Low cracking pressure, low pressure drop
  • Stainless steel plates and spring for corrosion resistance
  • Retainer-less design options for zero media entrapment
Series 2

Rubber Lined Check Valve

DN50 - DN1200 | PN10 / PN16 | Seawater / Sewage Duty

The rubber lined check valve has its body flow passage and flap face fully lined with hard natural rubber, EPDM or neoprene. The resilient lining absorbs the impact of closing, resists seawater corrosion and handles gritty sewage and slurry that would rapidly destroy a metal seat.

Technical Specifications

Size RangeDN50 - DN1200 (2" - 48")
Pressure RatingPN10, PN16
Body MaterialCast iron / ductile iron, fully rubber lined (4-6mm)
Flap MaterialDuctile iron encapsulated in rubber / EPDM
Lining MaterialHard natural rubber, EPDM, neoprene (CR)
SeatRubber-on-rubber resilient seal, self-cleaning
ConnectionFlanged (DIN / ANSI / BS / JIS)
Working Temp.-20°C to +80°C (natural rubber / EPDM)
StandardEN 12334, MSS SP-71, AWWA C508
ServiceSeawater, sewage, sludge, ash slurry, mine tailings

Key Features

  • Full rubber lining — no exposed metal in the flow path
  • Excellent seawater and chloride corrosion resistance
  • Tolerates gritty, particle-laden sewage and slurry
  • Soft-closing flap — quiet operation, minimal hammer
  • Lining 100% spark-tested; repair kits with spare flaps available
